Brewery Wilderen earlier

The brewery Wilderen tells us early history, which leads us all the way back to the year 1642.

The extraction of Wilderen was a unit of economic output providing for their own needs. With the wood of trees hammered one half-timbered farmhouse with land leemde one of the walls of the farm, sheep and cattle made for milk, wool and leather. Agriculture and Livestock provided food ...

The great abstraction such as Wilderen had their own brewing kettles ... whose trot then went towards ox stable ... and is now Brewery Wilderen year 2011. If we worked a lot and hard in the extraction, so one could also exuberantly celebrate !!! Especially with fairs, namely several days at a time ...

Following nice village story goes: Among the guests there was a hunchback which before falling asleep in his daze, was accustomed to sing loud: "A very small kanneke, a tiny little man. Well follow soon drain is being patched "There they brewed itself was not difficult to quench the thirsty frame!

The brewery was during this period in the place where later the bakery, the dairy and the laundry were built. Under the current house one can still see the sealed cellar holes of the brewery ...

Brewery now

At the place where there were the ox stables in ancient times there is now an ultramodern brewery. During the restoration the old facades of the building are completely refurbished and propped. The contemporary architectural design creates a pleasant tension between the monument of the old distillery and the modern building of the brewery. The brewery is open to visitors and to explore during the tours.
