Smell is spicy mineral creaminess with a touch of citrus. Reminds me very much of champagne. Hint of fruitiness, mainly cherries. Hint of white pepper and egg. Taste is full and creamy. Warm and with a great fizz. The finish is long and crisp, with lots of minerals and earth and a smooth, friendly astringency. This is really good!
Brasserie Caulier is a family brewery in the region of Tournai, Belgium. It has been producing its own beer for almost 20 years and has brewing experience of more than four generations.
The current team of 11 enthusiasts brews 100% natural beer, applying craft methods, almost identical to the methods used by the abbey several centuries ago. The brewery produces 500,000 litres of beer per year.
