Finally! After fantasizing about it for a long time, we succeeded. Gio from Galea Craft Beers and Gert from The Blacksmith's Meadery have joined forces to release not one, but two collabs. Of course, in both cases it’s a Braggot. The base is a sweet traditional mead and a thick (sooo thick...) stout. Both are then put together in barrels. In this case a Woodford Reserve barrel. The second fill on this barrel was a cherry bitter. This makes for a braggot with a beautiful garnet red color and an impressive cherry aroma.
