Aromas of wood, wine, cherries, sherbet, light spice and funk together. Taste is sharp sour, more cherry and oak. Almost leathery, some tannins. Lovely beer.
Special edition of the Oud Bruin which is cooked for 16 hours instead of 1.5 hours. The resulting Maillard reaction gives the beer a softer character. The beer was kept in wooden barrels for 324 days. The Super Boil is significantly darker than the conventional version and has a rounder character, slightly more full-bodied. The smell and aroma have something vinous with hints of wood and vanilla.
