Aroma is biscuit, caramel, molasses, black pepper and, unfortunately, some wet cardboard. Sweetish, slick, rather full-bodied. Long-lasting, bitterless finish, with hints of cinnamon and biscuit.
La Trappe Isid’or was first brewed in 2009 to mark the 125th anniversary of the Koningshoeven Brewery. The beer was dedicated to Brother Isidorus, the first brewer of the abbey and thus the founder of the beers of La Trappe Trappist.
10 years after the introduction of La Trappe Isid'or, our brewers present a unique, limited edition of this special beer. The two new experimental hops give the beer refined, spicy and peppery notes on the one hand and a powerful aroma with notes of ripe berries and citrus fruit on the other.
Part of the proceeds goes to a school project in Uganda. Primary and secondary education is made possible for the children in the Ssanje district so that they can face a promising future.
