The 2014 edition of the World Beer Awards, a Belgian winner resulted. Tongerlo Blond Haacht Brewery won the absolute prize, so on the website of the international competition.

Tongerlo Blond may have a year called 'World's Best Beer'. The blonde beer of 6 degrees was selected from the eight category winners. Among those eight winners, three Belgian: besides Tongerlo (category lager) involves Malheur 12 (best dark beer) and Mort Subite Oude Geuze (best sour beer).

Many other Belgian beers won awards in a wide range of subcategories.
