  • A rather sweet perfume of candies, red currant, raspberry and strawberry. Wholeheartedly. Distinctly sweet-sour taste, full of red fruity, with a subtle touch of wood in the background. Slightly sticky in the aftertaste, quite typical for this type of fruit beer. Rich in taste and character, like red wine.

  • Mixed fermentation, wood-aged, with secondary fermentation in the bottle, unpasteurized, unfiltered.
  • Color:
  • Hazy reddish, off-white head
  • Ideal temperature:
  • 6°C to 8°C => 43°F to 46°F

  • Barley malt, cherries, redcurrants, raspberries, strawberries, blackthorns, yeast, hops & water.

The wood-aged Five A Day fruit beer was mixed with a bottle of 60-year-old Goossens Gueuze (1958-1962) and bottled in April 2018 as a "limited edition". The name refers to the 5 types of fruit present and the same number of pieces of fruit that are recommended to people to live a healthy life.
