Taste:
Aroma: Very deep, warm, and complex. You clearly smell the sweet aromas of dried raisins, figs, and dates, sublimely interwoven with notes of brown sugar, toffee, a hint of chocolate, and a mild, spicy yeast signature (think of a pinch of clove). Taste: Extremely full-bodied, velvety, and layered. Due to years of aging, the initial sugary sweetness has faded beautifully into the background and blended wonderfully. What remains is a creamy mouthfeel full of flavors of dark candied fruit, liquid caramel, and a subtle, ripe hop bitterness (38 IBU). The finish is majestically long and pleasantly warming with an alcoholic sensation.

Deep dark brown to ruby red (approx. 79 EBC). Because the beer is somewhat older, the head will collapse slightly faster upon pouring and be less voluminous than with a younger variant.

12°C to 16°C
