An overwhelming scent of freshly pressed red fruit (primarily raspberries and cherries). It smells like a freshly made fruit coulis or jam. A sweet undertone of ripe fruit, immediately followed by the sharp, lactic notes of the young lambic. Subtle hints reminiscent of fruit gummies or red currants. Taste: A unique balance between extremely fruity and refreshing acidity. It is less "dry" than their Oude Kriek, but far from a commercially sweetened fruit beer. Full, silky smooth, and almost creamy on the tongue. The "coulis" provides a filling structure that softens the astringent acidity of the lambic.
