Brewery

Founded and located in the former Péronnes shipyard - in the Region Walloon in Hainaut - the SPITS Brewery takes you through the region through a range of local beers. Let yourself intoxicate the time for a break on the open sea with the vapors of hops from the Brewery.
"A beer brewed and cultivated near you"
The adventure began in 2018, when an agronomist in search of authenticity and passionate about its terroir decides to create its own brewery. After long research and many brews, its range is born: a white, a blonde, a brown, as well as a triple that are just waiting to satisfy the taste buds of thirsty sailors.
Little by little, a place was quickly designated as the place ideal for brewing the SPITS, the Péronnes shipyard, a stone's throw from Tournai. More than a beer, it takes its visitors into the world of Grand Large, hence its name "spits", a very emblematic of the time of the Péronnes shipyard and sailing formerly in the canal in front of it.
"A unique place to brew an authentic beer"
The SPITS brewery and the entire shipyard team invite you to moor at Grand Large to have a good time with friends, and above all, to taste a good local beer brewed with passion and expertise.
Opening scheduled for summer 2021
While waiting for the end of the work, the SPITS is brewed in collaboration with Brouwerij De Ranke's team.

Our values

Produce a range of ethical beers, aimed at promoting local agriculture and fair trade, it is the figurehead of the SPITS BEER.

"A range of local, sustainable and fair-trade beers"
All of the hops needed to make the SPITS BEER is of Belgian origin and originates from near the Brewery. It brings both the delicious aromas and the desired dose of bitterness. No pellet, no extract, but cones of hops harvested each year in September.
In addition to using cereals grown near the brewery. Barley malt is fair trade in Belgium thanks to the partnership with the fair price sector producer. We ensure effective traceability of barley in beer as well as a fair remuneration of planter in Belgium.
